Sycraft stands for - Syahi’s Craft.
A more deeper and longitudinal work I have been forming and slowly conjuring on the side (hence the pun - Side Craft).
The point of Sycraft Comics is to have crafted comics and other art based publications which allow me as an artist to have a stronger expression of visual narrative more on the forefront as opposed to one singular painting.
So far, the key series I have been developing and creating is the Sol Encounters series. A world-building project and multidinal story filled with many characters who cross paths and encounter the lessons of exploring the depths of their reality. Many themes of identity, religion and belief as well as the supernatural all intersect in this epic journey.
Explore the Enigmatic World of the Sol Encounters Universe, where vagabond 'Mr Epoch', the curious 'Inspector' and wounded 'Isilo' unveil the secrets of strange encounters that are on the horizon of converging in the world of Normentro. So what is Phase 0 - The Decimal Series?
Phase 0, The Decimal Series is the first initial run of comics taking place in the Sol Encounters universe.
It will operate as a pilot series with issues starting from #0.1 and officially ending by #0.9, with the goal of using each issue to experiment, resulting in the best suited book format by the time we reach the official Issue #1. This will then be when Phase 1 begins. I wanted to create a buffer and way to run a live conceptualising process so that I could also gain live feedback and trial out types of content and see which audiences felt they best resonated with the storytelling I wish to put out.
